    Looks like I'm late to this video, but in time for your retirement part. This is exactly what I want to do to a set of 94 LT1 exhaust manifolds for replacing a pair of "logs," so I'm disappointed for myself that you're not doing this anymore, but happy for you that you've been able to retire. Enjoy life retired!

Also aluminum double humps or what about DNA heads to port and replace guides and use bigger valves etc.? RHS race rites?

    How do you identify a aftermarket cast iron angle plug 2.05 intake valve real small chamber and there no markings on the heads

    • @BrzezinskiRacingProducts
      @BrzezinskiRacingProducts 5 місяців тому

      With no casting markings on the heads all you can do is have the intake ports cc'ed to find out their size. Same with the combustion chambers; have them checked for size.

    • @zAvAvAz
      @zAvAvAz 5 місяців тому

      Probably 60cc roughly, always CC to check and make sure though they could be from a bare configuration that was available for pro head porters they were 48cc in some cases.

    • @BrzezinskiRacingProducts
      @BrzezinskiRacingProducts 8 місяців тому

      407-5302-35 is the tap part number and 401-2102-35 is the plug part number. We don't drill the holes bigger in the head. Lots of tapping fluid and just let the tap do its thing, BUT do not run the tap all the way in. It will make the hole to big. We use red loctite on the plugs. The tops should snap off when they are tight. then when you're done take a clean up cut on the deck to make sur everything is nice and flat.

      The heads were milled to raise compression. The block might have been decked too. That would throw off the intake alignment. Brzezinski machines heads for racing and modifies intakes for optimum fit.

    YOU HAVE THE COMMENTS TURNED OFF ON THE DOUBLE HUMP HEADS VIDEOS YOU MADE. HERE IS SOMETHING VERY INTERESTING. A 351 WINDSOR HEAD FROM 69-70 FROM GRANDMA'S STATION WAGON WITH A 2 BARREL CARBURATOR (ON THE INTAKE SIDE ONLY) IN STOCK FORM. A NONE RACE ORIENTATED HEAD WITH SMALLER VALVES AND INTAKE RUNNERS, FLOWED JUST AS GOOD AS CHEVY'S BEST HEAD THE FUELIE 2.02. THAT'S HOW FAR AHEAD FORD WAS THAN CHEVY IN ENGINEERING. THAT IS INCREDIBLE AND THE REASON WHY GM/CHEVY TOOK THE WINDSOR DESIGN AS THE FOUNDATION FOR THE CHEVY LS HEAD TODAY. BY JUST INCREASING THE SIZE OF THE VALVES AND RUNNERS AND TO THE STRAIGHTER FORD VALVES DESIGN FROM A 20 TO A 18 DEGREE VALVE ANGLE. AS FOR THE EXHAUST PORTS FOR BOTH THE CHEVY AND FORD THEY ARE BOTH A STRAIGHT SHOTS OUT AND THE FORD COULD BE PORTED TO FLOW JUST AS GOOD AS THE FUELIE.

      It is easy to be critical of “flow numbers” and “CFM” of the factory cylinder heads. As a Ford racer 90 percent of local circle race tracks will not allow the Cleveland head for class racing. GM made NOTHING remotely close to the flow rates of the Cleveland until 2004. Sad. So… The GT40 head is a decent flowing head if one knows how to port and understand enshrouding. I build road race and circle track motors of Class racing and do very well. In fact because of the horrendous GM castings reliability is much better than any GM unit. Making 420+ hp with GT40p heads is not difficult if one has the experience of working with these heads. I built a 289 making 396hp with a cam swap through an Autolite factory 4 barrel carburetor under NHRA Super Stock rules. This is with FACTORY valves. There is a lot of head work, port matching, Jesel valve train etc. And the price for making Super Stock power is about the same for a Ford Or Chevrolet. The biggest factors are the class rules. More rules equals more cost to the racer. An unfortunate fact that does not get mentioned when comparing costs between Ford and Chevrolet. Racing throughout the years sanctioning bodies has always favored Chevrolet.
